India…India…

I watched my first test match with my grand father during my mass promotion days in the midst of the Gujarat Earthquake in 2001. He loved cricket and I think, I have inherited his feelings for the game. To begin my journey, the first game, I saw, for straight 5 days was none other than the epic Kolkata Test. No need to describe that match, as everyone has thier own memories attached to it.

Looking at today’s match, I still feel, my love for the Test matches is eternal.
The series gives you lessons for life –
– The team might be bruised, baffled and broken, but grit, resilience and an undying attitude takes any team to greater heights.
– No matter how it looks, experienced or young, it’s the team’s willingness to win, that matters.
– If you believe in yourself and your team’s strength, any fort can be breached (Let alone The Gabba!)
– Hang in there and grab the opportunity with both hands. If you’ve in yourself, it won’t take much time to showcase your talent to the world.
– Contribution of every team member is important, whether a small one or a big.

The biggest of all – The only thing to unite 1.3B Indians is Cricket. It’s a joy for any Indian in or out of our country. Nothing can beat that.

I miss listening to that cheer from the crowd – India.. India…

With one question in my mind, I sign off,
Is #GabbaTest better than the #Kolkata Test?
