A couple of days ago, I was speaking to one of my mentors over the call. We were discussing on various matters. We were discussing habits.
The thing that flabbergasted me was his consistency in maintaining his routine, in maintaing the habits he has cultivated over a period of time. He would read books and he would write some posts without fail, every single day, no matter how low was his time or how happy the day passed by. I told him that last month was extremely pivotal and busy, ofcourse but I generally pen down my thoughts in Keep, every week and lately, there are 4 notes which are incomplete.
His reply were only two sentences –
(a) Consistency is the key
(b) Every drop in the ocean counts.
And it struck me. Every small habit, whether good or bad, affects the ultimate goal you have set for yourself. It again struck me, that the same thing was told by my mother when I was in school, just to make me understand the value of money saving. And most importantly those habits needs to be consistent to achieve anything.
So what I inculcated during the conversation was while it may seem small, the ripple effects of these little things is extraordinary. Continuous ripple ultimately becomes a wave, which is a known fact
