The Show Must Go On!

– Zankhit, if you leave X, then you’ll have to put down papers here at Y as well. (X – my company, Y – customer’s company)
– No matter where you go, call me from there, I’ll be happy to discuss new avenues with you
– Zankhit, it was because of you that I bought this, now since you’re not available, please recommend a person. I am ok if he’s just half of you

Nothing can be more satisfying for a sales person then such words. And yes, this has been said to me at some point or the other.

For a sales guy, he might hit the ball out of the park on his day, but every day is a new day and he has to start from zero again, just like a cricketer.

The entire sales cycle is a humongous task to carry and hitting the nail on the coffin makes a sales guy, an asset, apart from being the face of the company.

Understanding the pain point of the customer and then bridging the gap by providing appropriate solution in terms of product/service to every customer is a learning in itself. Not to forget, for a customer, if any error occurs, he’s the go-to person.

Relationship and trust plays a key role and so does the sense of application. Its always Day 1 in Sales. No matter the situation, keeping heads high and feet on the ground, the show goes on.
