Effective Communication!

1. “Can you please help me with that”
2. “Do that”

Two sentences directed to do something, but both are represented so differently that it plays with the emotion of the person to whom it is directed.

Communication is the key in any relationship, whether personal or professional, but the way it is communicated remains to be the essence of it. It is the soul on which things are perceived. Depending on your way of communication, the general public start to build your image in their mind.

I often tell my near ones, it’s better to call than to text, whenever one wishes to speak. The emotions are not conveyed in a proper manner in texting and the way it is supposed to be fetched, sometimes differs.

I once read somewhere that good communication is the bridge between confusion and clarity. Effective communication makes any relationship better, in turn generating healthier discussions and gaining more knowledge. Communication is directly related to emotions.

Till almost a few years ago, I personally, lacked communication skills amongst peers and as a result, my image was wrongly portrayed in their minds. Over a period of time, I continue to improve my skills and that’s one of the prime reason of developing some strong bonds with peers, colleagues that turned to friends and friends that turned to family.

“It’s important to make sure that we’re talking with each other in a way that heals, not in a way that wounds”
– Barack Obama
