I have observed patterns in my professional career. And such is the case with all – a pattern of going to the peak and a pattern of getting stuck at some point of time. When you sit and analyse this pattern – it will basically represent your strengths and your weaknesses. I used to be stuck every time – once in 15 to 18 months. Then, I push myself and come out of it, although with flying colors.
Consistency remains to be a key ingredient at every juncture in life – whether it be performance or analysing your performance continuously, thereby finding ways to improve it.
One fine morning, in the middle of the first wave of COVID, in July 2020, I found out about this pattern. I felt like I had done some sort of discovery. The next one hour, I devoted myself to understanding the realisation, I had. My mind was suddenly asking me to clear the clutter (similar to what – Google Photos does!) and I pressed a yes button. It felt like a gunny bag full of burden was out and I was rejuvenated. I somehow knew what I wanted and thus I started writing.
Writing gave me 3 things –
1. Clarity in my thoughts
2. Finding the right path amidst the crossroads
3. Inspiration started taking place on their own.
It was like an indication to me. Chasing the dreams, doing things out of the box and the fire inside the belly was reignited. The curious mind started to work at almost double the speed. My newer and a better version was waiting on the other side and I wasted no time in going there.
Writing gave me a clear head way towards comprehending my consciousness and thoughts. And in the blink of an eye, I complete 2 years, next week to this practice. Understanding the pattern and finding a solution that works for yourself – helps one to consistently perform at the peak and overcome hurdles
