Finally, the two week CSC2023 – The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conference – Canada 2023 comes to an end and I must say, what a journey this has been! A very fascinating trip in Canada was worth the experience and every second was full of experience and at the same time memories. This will be etched with me for the rest of my life.
As one of the 39 delegates chosen from India after a due selection process, it was a pleasure and an honour to spend some quality time with people who were not only very intelligent and smart but empathetic and kind. The respect we have for each other now, grew leaps and bounds over the last two weeks. We had good discussions over various topics and we agreed to disagree with each other, but what matters now to us are the authentic views that we have and we stand by our views. We take back the most important thing – To Be Honest with Ourselves. Nothing matters more than this. Not to forget, the compassion to call 17 people from 12 nations – your family for ten days is a total blessing in itself.
The joy of holding the National Flag and singing “Saare Jahan Se Accha” passionately in an auditorium in a foreign land is a feeling very few can go through and I consider myself fortunate enough to go through the same.
I am eternally grateful to Balaji P Sir and Young Leaders Council AIMA for nominating and recommending me for the program. Ian, Ujwal and the entire team, a big thank you for organising the entire show so effortlessly, though all of you must be having sleepless nights and super exertion. Our regional chair Joanne and hosts in the entire Southern Alberta journey – Leann, Bre, Trevor, Nathan, Kim and others who made our lives so worthy during the course of time – I will never forget your hospitality and thank you would be a small word for the things that you did for us.
As I continusly kept saying during the entire program to all my foreign friends I made during the conference , the next 25 years is for India and we are here to dominate. I am humbled to meet all of you and the connection we made would always grow stronger with each passing day.
Canada and CSC2023 – Mahsi Cho. I will always remember you with a smile on my face and numerous good memories. Totally, a life changing experience.
At the end, I go with more questions to solve rather than the answers. That’s what it is.
AB2, Forever!
