The CSC2023 – The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conference – Canada 2023 got over almost 15 days ago, but the memories and the experience will remain forever. We will cherish the incredible journey with a smile on our face and will proudly post it on various social media.
For me it would be AB2, Forever!
Having spent 10 days, 24X7 of my life, in and out with a bunch of 17 lovely people belonging to 12 countries, I have had stories with each of them to tell. Learnings from each of them was a continuous journey for me.
A brief one liner of learning for me from each of them.
1. Syed Akhtar – A Team’s Captain! He kept the team first, always!
2. Nigel Browne – The Go-To Man. Things whether in the favour or out of the favour, you never come back without learning a thing or two, after sitting with him.
3. Lindsay Colley – The person who literally makes the team one. She gels with one and all and can unite the entire team in a minute
4. Mariama Dupuis – Solution Provider of the team. When things go complex, head towards her. She can literally break the problem into pieces and provide an amicable solution
5. Charlotte Goss – Always take her views. The perspective she puts brings enormous value to the team.
6. Rizawani Fiona Heng – The One who takes literal care of the entire team. She’s the first one to stand by you when in need
7. Mervin Jakuaterua Katjivikua – The Man who always lightens up the atmosphere with his sheer persona.
8. Madiha Saail Ahmad Khan – The empathetic and the kindest person, every team needs
9. Harpreet Singh Khandiyal – I can write a chapter on HSK. But I surely want to learn the art of controlling from him. He can tremendously control his mind, temper and most importantly hunger!
10. Matthew MacDevette – The Ace. You just can use his wisdom to checkmate the opponent.
11. Omogolo Mathumo – His passion to grasp knowledge from every corner even in pain
12. Shunelle S. Nevers, MA, PMP®,CNU-A® (she/her) – With the clarity she possesses in her mind and thoughts, she can literally win anything
13. Judith Magori – Her kindness is what I should seek
14. Olivier Ouimet – The person who can literally take the team forward single handedly. His crisp and clear communication skills, I surely desire
15. Peter Ptashko FRSA – I literally became a fan of his articulation. The deep knowledge he has in various topics whether politics or social, entrepreneurship or entertainment-he can speak on any given topic. Give him 10 minutes and he will top it all
16. Patience Tsimba – She notes it all. The minutest detail of everything. Her thought process is as clear as the water. Her determination and dedication is what I want – even 1/10th would do
17. Zubairu Buhari – Last but not the least, he is a pocket dynamo with ocean of knowledge-not only for his field or country, but global. He understands it all. He can accept it all & that’s what I want to learn.
I could not have asked for a better experience than this. I have come back with a bag full of stories and lifelong friendships.
I firmly believed since long and Shunelle had rightly put the quote at the end of the conference – Your Network is Your Networth.
