Paris Diaries : Lost in Love (and the City!) (Part 1 of 3)

As I start a new category of travel blogging in my digital sanctury, it can not be anything other than Paris. I’ll cut this city into three parts.

The first thing that comes to our mind is Eifell Tower and that was the same case with us when I and my wife travelled our first Euro Trip in 2022. I know that she had a poster in her room in her school time. When our visas were finalized, the twinkle in her eyes was unmatched and that was what made me more happier. I ensured that the trip was planned well. We generally plan our trips on our own and this was no different.

As we landed on Charles de Gaulle Airport, it was almost like a dream come true for both of us. World’s Most Romantic Place. The City of Love. And then…the Chaos started. The next couple of hours were hell.

Oh yeah, we were lost in the city.

We had no network in the phone as we had planned to buy a local sim (a mistake we never do now! #Learning). it was late evening. So, it’s just restaurants and public transports that works most of the times in Paris. After almost a couple of hours we found a way and took a bus. After struggling for almost two hours, a kind bus driver let us board without a ticket (we had no idea how to buy one). That moment was a relief and phew! Its just the first couple of hours in Paris and we already were making memories.

Toiling hard after almost 2.5 hours, we reached our hotel, and we checked in. Typical French interiors but fantastic services and very kind hearted people. My wife say’s “Welcome to Paris, Singham!”

Day 1 begins in the next blog as we spent five magical days in Paris, and every moment was worth writing about.

“Up next: Eiffel Tower dreams and an eventful walks on the banks of Seine.”
