Digital Detox!

नव वर्ष, नव ऊर्जा, नव चेतना!

The Diwali break of five days has surely made us come back with more enthusiasm, hunger and willingness to succeed. With the beginning of the Hindu New Year, the festivities sunk, I bursted crackers and spent time with my family. I tried the Digital Detox and yes, it did work. No social media, no phones, no emails – only sent/replied to the Diwali wishes and spoke to few of my closed ones. Just good food, sweets, love and a little bit of gaming.

Yes, at times sneeked in to check notifications but the feeds were almost filled with either corporate lessons learnt from VK’s innings or Rishi Sunak becoming the new UK PM. Nonetheless, nothing much that I have missed.

The Digital Detox of five days helped me make my mind crystal clear. I figured out what I really want on the way ahead in the journey. As I explore the new decade of my life, it is exciting and a little bit complex. Right decisions at right time with a blend of luck will take me miles and the wrong ones will only teach lessons – similar to the snakes and ladders game we played during our childhood days. I have always learnt my lessons the harder way and would love to implement these lessons to make things easier in the times to come.

Responsibilities – professional or personal might increase in a linear or in an exponential manner, but the energy, hunger and the strive to succeed and reach your destination has to remain as it is. This will only be possible through striking the right balance of mental and physical health.

Clarity in the mind is important and that in these times, I feel only comes through the Digital Detox.
