I am just 5 months shy in completing my 20’s. Well, 20’s has been a fabulous decade to go through in the beautiful journey.
Live. Love. Laugh – that was my motto for 20’s and will continue to be so in the years to come.
The outcome of 20’s on introspection makes me flabbergasted. Being on the verge, of completing the third decade of life, my conclusion would be :
1. Stay away from your home atleast for a year. Stand on your own. You’ll be able to see how the real world looks like.
2. Party like an animal in your early 20’s. Experiment on every curious thing possible which you imagined in your teens. You’ll never get time for this in the later stage. Life will never be better than this.
3. Enjoy and value relationships. Once developed and nurtured, they’ll be forever and will be your support system
4. Do not take grad/post grad days lightly. Answers for the challenges on the road ahead will be available here only – by making your fundamentals deep and strong. These days will the base that will create you mentally strong and tough.
5. There is no biological time table to anything. Never succumb to social pressure.
6. Develop your own thought process. This will be the foundation for life.
7. There will be numerous goof ups, screw ups, hochpoch and what not. Enjoy it. There will be only learnings from it. Believe it or not, become a “Devdas” once 😛
8. For most of your time, you’ll be out of money. Learn to live with it and have the hunger to earn it till infinity. Money does matter.
9. There will be usage of the word “Settled” innumerable times at various occasions. Never Settle. Always strive for more.
10. Fail. Because, without failing, you’ll never understand the feeling of winning and the taste of success.
I had read this line in one of my senior’s writing and it surely sums up the 20’s :
Discover. Learn. Empower.
